### **What devices are iBeacon compatible?**

- iOS devices with Bluetooth 4.0+ (iPhone 4S and later, iPad (3rd generation) and later, iPad Mini (1st generation) and later)  
- Android devices with Bluetooth 4.0+ and Android OS 4.3+

**Please note**: the iBeacon works the best when the USB port is powered on only when the engine is running. If the USB port is always on, the auto start may not work properly.

### **How do I set up the app?**

Open the TripLog app > Auto Start Settings > Auto Start on > choose Detect iBeacon.

### **How do I link the Beacon to each of my vehicles?**

Plug your TripLog Beacon into your car’s USB port. Open the TripLog app, go to Auto Start Settings, and choose Set Up iBeacon. The app will automatically find the device. Choose the right device, then choose the vehicle.

### **How does the TripLog Beacon save battery?**

iBeacon devices use Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (BLE) technology. It does not require the app to constantly search for your location. It wakes up the app when it’s powered up, such as when the engine is started.
